A BILL to amend article six, chapter sixty-four of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated section two, relating
to authorizing the fire commission to promulgate a legislative
rule relating to the state fire code.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article six, chapter sixty-four of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section two, to
read as follows:
ARTICLE 6. AUTHORIZATION FOR DEPARTMENT OF MILITARY AFFAIRS AND



PUBLIC SAFETY TO PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.
§64-6-2. Fire commission.

The legislative rule filed in the state register on the
twenty-third day of July, two thousand one, under the authority of
section five, article three, chapter twenty-nine, of this code,
modified by the fire commission to meet the objections of the
legislative rule-making review committee and refiled in the state
register on the fourth day of October, two thousand one, relating
to the fire commission (state fire code, 87 CSR 1), is authorized.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the Fire
Commission to promulgate a legislative rule relating to the State
Fire Code.
